How we help
When relationships change or end, finding a way forward takes support. We help families work through tough times, always keeping children's needs at heart. We support parents and other family members to:
- make decisions together
- work through separation with less conflict
- focus on children's wellbeing
Our services include:
- family dispute resolution - help with making agreements about children, finance and property
- counselling for couples or individuals with children - support to manage separation and parenting challenges
- parenting after separation program - for parents with court orders
- child inclusive practice - ways to include your children's voices in decision-making.
Our experienced team creates a safe space where you can talk things through and find positive solutions. We understand this is a difficult time and we're here to help your family find its path forward. The Family Relationship Centre is an initiative of the Australian Government.

We receive government funding to provide this service. This means you will pay no fee or a small fee, depending on your situation. We'll always talk through the cost before we get started.
You may be able to make care more affordable through Medicare rebates, your private health insurance or other funding support. We're here to help you understand all your options.
